Do you use and watch Instagram stories? I’m guessing if you’re here it’s either a yes OR you’re ready to start putting yourself out there and leverage one of the best tools Instagram has given you! I’m “one of those millennials” that has been on Facebook and Instagram since they started so have been there for all the changes and growth.
Ultimately, you are growing a business and you are not just here for a huge amount of random followers or a bunch of likes on your posts but having no one buy. You want to make an income AND help a ton of people! Give me a YES in the comments if you’re in for that!
So we need to build the relationship and do this in different ways in order to convert new followers from cold to hot. In other words, going from “I just started following you” to “I want to work with you/buy this program/product!
Here are 6 different ways to do this on your Instagram stories.
It comes naturally, humans love stories and they are for sure one of THE best ways to grab your audiences attention and will help you build the like, know and trust factor. People (especially on Instagram) buy from people they like, know and trust.
2. Share screenshots of Results & Testimonials
You can build that social proof by sharing messages/wins/results/pictures/ from your current or past clients. If you can get them to do a video and post right on your IG stories that is super powerful as well!
Let people get to know you! I did a poll a while back of what people wanted to see:

b) Just Biz
100% of people chose life and business! Share what you’re doing that day, regular life things and build that connection.
Give your followers mini wins so that you can not only show you know what you’re talking about BUT it also builds your authority and influence.
You can do this in multiple ways – mini trainings/challenges/infographics.
Don’t be afraid to mention the fact that people CAN actually work with YOU! You can do this on video or make a fun Insta story on Canva showing the ways people can work with you for this month! If they don’t know you’re offering them something then how can they buy?
6. Offer something super specific and niche for FREE.
If you want to have people moving from a cold to a hot lead then you could offer something like a free PDF/e-book/masterclass/challenge, etc. This lets them get a taste of working with you. You could also charge a lower price for this so you build a pool of leads who have already purchased from you when you want to offer something at a higher price point. Or link directly to a free 15/30-minute consult.
Okay LAST BONUS TIP – invite your audience and IG story viewers to directly message you! Get that conversation started – Instagram gives you so many tools with the Question box/Polls, etc to help you break the ice.
